Born in Morehead City, North Carolina, Joe has family ties dating back to the earliest coastal North Carolina navigators. He served six years in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Machinery Technician obtaining E-5 ranking and currently holds an active USCG Master Captain’s license which he first obtained in 1984. After completing his enlistment, Joe spent several years working aboard local charter boats, further strengthening his seamanship and on‑the‑water expertise.

In 1999, Joe transitioned into yacht brokerage and management, building a successful career rooted in hands‑on experience with vessels of every style and size. His practical knowledge and operational insight quickly set him apart in the industry.

Joe joined Safe Harbor Yacht Sales in 2008, and with more than 25 years of experience as a yacht broker, he continues to guide clients with a thoughtful, informed approach. His deep understanding of boats and the boating lifestyle allows him to match clients with vessels that truly align with their needs, goals, and passions.
