North Carolina–built offshore sportfishers, tested in Outer Banks conditions and engineered for a dry, soft ride with no compromises

Since 1988, Regulator Marine has continued to raise the bar in pursuit of the legendary ride. Built in North Carolina and tested against the demanding conditions of the Outer Banks, Regulators are seriously tough offshore sportfishing boats known for a ride that stays dry, soft, and comfortable when the water gets challenging.

Across a full lineup from 23’ to 41’, Regulator delivers standout fit, finish, and ride for some of the most discerning anglers in the world. With continued innovation seen in models like the award-winning Regulator 35, the recently introduced 37, and the reimagined 28, the brand continues to evolve with purpose, pairing new thinking with the ride, craftsmanship, and offshore capability that have long defined Regulator.

FAQ
  • Where is Regulator built?

Regulator builds their boats in Edenton, NC.

  • What is the difference between the Offshore and XO series models?

The offshore models are heavy boats with low center of gravity, and a sharp 24 degree deadrise. They are rugged boats built for long trips offshore, predictable performance, and safety in tough conditions. The XO models are strong and solid as well, but are inshore/offshore hybrids, with a shallower deadrise, more casting space, and options for features like power poles, jack plates, and trolling motors.

  • What is the purpose of the bracket?

All offshore models have brackets. Brackets position the propellers farther aft from the boat’s running surface, which maximizes leverage for faster planing speed as well as more efficient performance while underway.

  • Are Regulators deep vee or stepped hull boats?

All Regulator models have deep vees, making for solid and predictable performance across all conditions.

  • What sets Regulator apart from other builders?

It is hard to narrow it down to a single reason. Regulator boats have unrivaled fit and finish and are engineered for excellence. Their boats are overbuilt and are designed to take whatever mother nature has in store. Every boat performs well in good conditions, but on the worst days you will be glad that you chose a Regulator.

  • What types of warranties are included?

Regulator has a warranty redemption rate that is consistently less than 1%. They have a fantastic customer service team, and offer a 5 year structural warranty and a 1 year stem to stern warranty, along with separate engine warranties.

  • Does Regulator offer tours?

Yes! Regulator regularly conducts tours at their Edenton facility.
