"PAWS FOR LIFE" is a very rare find in today's market. It is still owned by the original owner (who came out of Marlow 70E) and is captained by the original captain that has been with the boat from the beginning of the build process and will be present to hand her over to the next owner. The Marlow 80 Explorer Command Bridge is versatile in so many ways and this particular boat is a fine example of a very well thought out design.
"PAWS FOR LIFE' has a custom 3 stateroom interior which features a full beam master stateroom with a centerline king bed and a preferred his/her head arrangement. The VIP forward is oversized and features a centerline queen berth, (2) upper single berths, and an ensuite head. The guest stateroom to port features oversized side by side berths with an ensuite head. The crew area aft also houses a full queen bed, oversized convertible U-shaped dinette, and a single berth above the dinette. There is a crew head and private shower.
To say the amount of storage area on the boat is overdone is an understatement. The vessel is set up for long term cruising and would certainly serve as an incredible platform for a live aboard scenario. The salon is entered via double doors from the aft deck and has custom Burmese book matched teak woodwork throughout (taken from a single hand selected tree, chosen by David Marlow) including custom bookcases, cabinetry, high gloss teak and holly flooring throughout, and custom furniture. High gloss Camphor burl accents through including the master SR headboard. The open galley concept forward is full service and has an oversized U-shaped dinette under the forward brow windows and entry doors to the walk decks on both port and starboard.
The Command Bridge was a $175,000 option when the boat was built and it allows cruising in full comfort. Access is via an internal wood staircase to the bridge or entry from the upper aft deck. The Command Bridge features (4) KEP 19" displays and a full suite of Furuno electronics. Having a full 360 degree view from the bridge is amazing. There is a Stidd helm chair, Stidd dual companion chair and full aft dinette with extensive seating and for added convenience there is a day head on the Command Bridge.
The upper aft deck was built for entertaining and includes a large L-shape lounge that back up to the bridge house and accommodates a 96" x 38" wide high gloss teak table, Subzero refrigerator w/ice maker, Wolf grill, (4) teak deck chairs and a Hydraulic Aritex 1600# davit.
The lower aft deck serves as an entry point for the vessel. It features molded in staircases from the swim deck and boarding gates both on the port and starboard side. Entry to the salon is through the double bulkhead doors, the walk decks are also accessible through wing doors on each side, and the upper deck is accessed via the molded in staircase with slide cover. The is an oversized storage cabinet by the main salon entry door and it accommodates cockpit controls.
The entire lower exterior deck features teak flooring and the walk around decks are more than generous in size. The foredeck accommodates more storage and additional seating and the dual windlass arrangement/ground tackle is perfect for those who like to anchor out.
"PAWS FOR LIFE" currently has 0 hours on her since the 3000 hour service has been completed (June 2026) on the main engines and generators.
The original build sheet is available to qualified parties for inspection to show all of the finite details that were put into "PAWS FOR LIFE". There are too many custom interior details to list. This is a rare opportunity that will not last.
