"I have sailed across the Pacific on one. We liked it, strong and predictable, but not ridiculously slow. We had the ketch version, which we liked for offshore. We averaged 100-150 miles a day if I remember right, and had a couple of days in the 180 mile range. I would take one just about anywhere if the size works for you."
