Back Cove 412

back-cove@2x

A refined Downeast cruiser with two private staterooms, an easy-flow galley and cockpit, and system upgrades that make every outing feel effortless.

The Back Cove 412 is the next evolution of the Back Cove 41, designed to balance efficiency, comfort, and versatility in a small luxury yacht. Power and control are at the center of the experience, with a standard Volvo D8 600hp engine and optional upgrades (D11 725hp, Cummins QSC 8.3 600hp, and QSM11 715 hp0) featuring Slow Speed Mode, supported by equipment that makes maneuvering and dockside moments feel more relaxed.

Inside, the 412 is arranged for natural movement and everyday ease. Two comfortable staterooms each include a private head, while a centralized galley connects the salon and open-air cockpit, creating a layout that works just as well for quiet mornings as it does for hosting. Thoughtful upgrades like direct-bonded pilothouse windows, a full-height helm door, and flexible cockpit configurations round out a yacht designed to adapt to your cruising style.

FAQ
  • What customizations can be done in the cockpit?

The 412 can be optioned with two aft facing seats, a port aft facing seat and a starboard grill and refrigerator, or neither for a completely open cockpit. There is also an option for a centerline seating insert to connect the two fixed seating areas.

  • What are the advantages of a single diesel engine?

The single engine is much more efficient and less costly to maintain with twins. The 412 also comes standard with bow and stern thrusters, so maneuverability is not an issue.

  • How is maneuverability with only one engine?

The 412 is easy to dock thanks to standard bow and stern thrusters. The Back Cove Easy Dock system is also available for extra peace of mind.

  • How many does the 412 sleep?

The 412 has two staterooms with easy accommodations for 4.

  • What interior customizations are available?

The interior and cockpit cushions can be chosen from a wide selection of approved options.

  • Is there space for a washer and dryer?

Yes, a washer and dryer can be added in the storage/utility space beneath the helm.

  • What is different from the 41 versus the 412?

There were several updates made with the introduction of the 412, including a different cockpit seating arrangement, larger direct-bonded windows, remote fuel tank switching, and more engine options.
