Built in the Pacific Northwest, as a more modern interpretation of the venerable San Juan 38, this model extends the accommodation and head room, while maintaining the traditional high end wood finishes and joinery touches that San Juan is known for. The helm visibility is excellent with tall windshield and wrap around glass, all trimmed in high finish teak. Entire helm and bridge deck area is conditioned, and a removable rear panel provides convertible enclosure for seasonal variations. A brand new, variable speed, highly efficient Dometic HVAC has just been installed for the upper helm area. The two air conditioning units provide a very well balanced cooling system.
All exterior teak has just been completely refinished and shows as near new, with minimal wear. Solar panel system provides constant trickle charging for the ships battery bank.
A new Northern Lights 6KW generator was installed in the past 18 months, with less than 75 hours of total use.

The Navigational suite includes a new Garmin 8616XSV Chartplotter with Sonar and 36 Mile Radar. A Ritchie 4” Compass is located at good eye level above helm. A Simrad AP 16 autopilot is included. A Standard Horizon CMP 25W VHF is included. Volvo engine gauges are provided at helm.
Mango Tango is also equipped with, electric anchor windlass with chain and rode, full Fusion stereo system with JL Audio speakers, and full set of safety gear and dock lines. A canvas windshield mask is provided, as well as full aft canvas "soft-back" which is easily removed when desired.
Performance specs are provided, and the boat is exceptionally light for it's size, based on its carbon/kevlar composite construction, and the Volvo D6s provide an exceptional power balance, giving very quick time to plane, as can be seen in the video, and also supporting extremely balanced handling around docks. The bow swings effortlessly with minimal thruster engagement, and helm response at speed is excellent. The vertical "Humphrees" style, Volvo trim tab blades are extremely responsive with very little input needed.
Overall efficiency throughout the operating range supports an ideal cruising speed of just over 23 knots @70% load, and 25 knots at approximately 80% load, with a little over 1 MPG in most cruising configurations, with WOT of around 29-30 knots.
