The Mainship Pilot 34 has the seakeeping abilities of the lobster boats it has descended from. It has a steep plumb bow and a gentle rise of the sheer; both of these qualities give the Pilot 34 the ability to cut through head seas, while the rounded forward hull sections provide a soft entry. Flatter sections aft increase lift for speed and economy, and the deep full keel with a complete sand shoe gives stability and protection from grounding. In the cockpit, the Pilot 34 has helm and companion seats flanking the large engine access hatch. The side cockpit lounges have closed-cell cushions and they can double as berths or are perfect for napping.
The spacious cockpit is perfect for fishing or for a couple chairs for enjoying a private, quiet cove. Currently, the owner has a extra-large cooler in the cockpit for bringing the daily catch back chilled.
Below, the cabin has a large head complete with Corian covered vanity, lots of storage, a shower, and even a VacuFlush head. The teak-trimmed galley offers plenty of storage, large single well sink with hot and cold water, ample Corian counter space, a microwave, a cooktop, and a refrigerator and freezer.
The large dinette easily converts to a double berth and includes plenty of storage.
The interior is comfortably cool with air conditioning, powered away from the dock by a 3.5 kw diesel power generator.
