2013 51' Tayana Flush Deck Cutter

As a broker, I specialize in sailing vessels and have had a particular dream boat in my thoughts for many years. Antoinette has all of the features I dreamed about and so much more. This aft cockpit double ender was Completely Rebuilt in 2013 by this original owner. The boat was designed by Eva M. Hollman and built by Tayana  in 1981.This owner sailed her on the west coast, down to South America and all through the Caribbean for many years. When he moved to Ft. Lauderdale he brought the boat with him thinking that some day he would completely rebuild her and bring her back to her original glory or even better. So around 2010 he started the process of removing the teak decking and glassing the deck for a maintenance free surface, refurbished the solid teak interior and removed the engine and installed a new Yanmar 75hp turbo diesel now showing 17 hours. He rebuilt all systems including the electrical, the plumbing, the bilges, the tanks, purchased all new sails and roller furlers. Removed the mast and Awl-gripped both mast and boom adding mast steps and Awl-gripped the hull. Then he completely rebuilt the bottom letting it sit in the yard for many months allowing the bottom to dry out, repaired all blisters and added multiple coats of epoxy barrier 2000 and bottom painted her to perfection. He replaced the upper rudder bearing, replaced the SS drive shaft and reconditioned the 3 bladed prop. He replaced all of the hull windows, re-bedded all ports with new glass and seals, re-bedded the coach roof windows and repainted the hatches and added new seals. After all of that work was completed he installed all new standing rigging with upper and lower Staylocks, replaced all of the chain plates, Awl-gripped the decks with non-slip, added all new running rigging and rebuilt all winches. He removed most of the cockpit teak and added Starboard, varnished all the other exterior teak and added a sailing bimini, an aft deck awning, a forward deck awning, a dodger and moved on to all new electronics. The electronics include plotters, radar, linear drive autopilot, sounders, radios, multi function displays, electric windlass, satellite TV, ground tackle and the list goes on. Antoinette is now completed and ready for cruising with a 7Kw generator showing 19 hours, reverse cycle air conditioning and most everything needed for a blue water adventure. Add your personal belongings and sail away. If this magnificent vessel is of interest, call us today and start your new year cruising the world.
