Final-year Oceanis 40 with 54 hp, genset, A/C and bow thruster, ready to cruise
EBS Tide is a 2011 Beneteau Oceanis 40 from the final model year. Berret-Racoupeau drew the hull and Nauta Design did the interior. She is quick in light air, steady when the breeze fills in, and easy for two to handle.
She came well optioned, with the upgraded 54 hp Yanmar, reverse-cycle air, an electric halyard winch and an electric head. A bow thruster went in in 2018. Her current owners have cruised her from Havre de Grace to Oriental, NC, on a documented maintenance schedule. Since 2022 they have added a Northern Lights generator, Kato davits, new Sunbrella canvas, a Precision genoa, AGM batteries and charger, a 5-blade thruster upgrade and 316 lifelines.
Below is the preferred two-cabin, one-head layout. It has a large aft cabin with private head access, a separate stall shower and a U-shaped galley. With A/C and a genset, she is as comfortable on the hook in August as she is at the dock.
