A Proven Intrepid Platform, Reimagined for Modern Ownership

Among the American builders recognized for high-performance offshore boats, Intrepid has established a distinctive position through its semi-custom construction philosophy, innovative deck configurations, and emphasis on practical functionality. The 475 Sport Yacht reflects that approach, combining the capabilities of a large offshore powerboat with the interior accommodations and amenities expected of an express cruising yacht.

BLADE RUNNER offers a particularly interesting ownership proposition. Rather than relying solely on the appeal of her original construction, she has benefited from a series of meaningful improvements intended to extend her usability and bring key onboard systems closer to contemporary expectations.

Most significant is the 2021 repower with four Mercury Verado V8 300 HP outboards. With approximately 265 hours reported, this propulsion package is central to her appeal, providing a combined 1,200 HP while offering the accessibility and established service infrastructure associated with modern outboard power.

Her updated electronics, thermal imaging, watermaker, solar charging capability, and renewed exterior presentation further distinguish her from examples retaining their original equipment.

For buyers evaluating the premium 45- to 50-foot market, BLADE RUNNER presents an alternative to both traditional express cruisers and large open center consoles. She combines the freedom of an offshore-oriented deck arrangement with the practical advantage of accommodations for overnight use.

Four Mercury V8s. One Proven Offshore Platform.

The most consequential improvement aboard BLADE RUNNER is her repower.

In 2021, the vessel received four Mercury Verado V8 300 HP outboard engines, replacing the original propulsion arrangement with a more contemporary four-engine installation.

The resulting 1,200 HP package offers substantial available power for a vessel of this size. The outboard configuration also provides several practical ownership advantages, including external engine access, familiar service procedures, and the ability to utilize Mercury's established marine service network.

With approximately 265 hours reported on the engines, buyers have an opportunity to evaluate a comparatively recent propulsion installation on an established Intrepid hull.

For a serious purchaser, the repower deserves particular attention. Engine diagnostics, installation documentation, rigging, steering integration, service records, and the vessel's actual operating performance should all form part of the pre-purchase evaluation.

This is the kind of mechanical investment that can materially influence a buyer's decision when comparing older yachts within the same price category.

A Contemporary Navigation Suite

BLADE RUNNER's helm has been equipped with an extensive electronics package designed to support offshore navigation and operational awareness.

Three Simrad touchscreen displays provide a substantial multifunction interface, allowing navigation information and compatible onboard data to be organized across multiple screens.

The autopilot system, complete with its dedicated computer and controller, adds convenience during longer passages, while the Simrad VHF radio with AIS provides an additional communication and vessel-awareness capability.

A FLIR M300-series thermal imaging camera further expands the navigation toolkit. Particularly useful in reduced visibility and low-light conditions, thermal imaging can assist the operator in identifying heat-emitting objects and potential hazards that may be difficult to distinguish visually.

The installation represents a meaningful modernization of the vessel's navigation equipment and is particularly relevant to owners intending to cruise between Florida, the Keys, and the Bahamas.

Offshore Functionality with Refreshed Presentation

The Intrepid 475 Sport Yacht was developed for owners who wanted an adaptable offshore platform without sacrificing the social qualities of a luxury dayboat.

Her open-deck configuration provides flexibility for entertaining, cruising, and watersports, while the enclosed accommodation spaces allow the vessel to serve purposes beyond conventional day boating.

BLADE RUNNER has undergone an exterior repaint using Awlgrip, along with a complete renewal of her enclosure. These improvements contribute to her overall presentation while helping maintain the vessel's practical usability in changing weather conditions.

Underwater lighting adds another dimension to the experience at anchor, particularly during evening entertaining.

For South Florida ownership, the ability to transition between exposed outdoor areas and protected onboard spaces is a significant advantage, extending the range of conditions in which the vessel can be comfortably enjoyed.

More Than a Dayboat

One of the defining advantages of the 475 Sport Yacht is its ability to provide overnight accommodation while retaining the performance-oriented character of a large offshore boat.

This distinguishes the model from many similarly sized center consoles that prioritize open deck space at the expense of interior livability.

BLADE RUNNER offers a platform for owners who enjoy extended weekends aboard, spontaneous coastal cruising, or short island trips without requiring the size and operational complexity of a conventional motor yacht.

The exact berth configuration, number of enclosed heads, and individual accommodation amenities should be confirmed aboard before publication of the final technical specification.

Generator, Watermaker & Solar Charging

BLADE RUNNER's onboard support equipment is another important part of her overall value proposition.

A 9 kVA Fischer generator, reported with approximately 610 hours, provides an independent source of electrical power for compatible onboard systems. The installed watermaker further supports extended time away from marina facilities by providing the capability to produce freshwater, subject to its operating condition and rated output.

The addition of two 240-watt solar panels provides a combined rated solar capacity of 480 watts, supported by a 30-amp charge controller. This arrangement offers supplemental battery charging under suitable sunlight and system conditions, reducing reliance on shore power or generator operation for certain electrical loads.

These systems are especially relevant for owners planning regular anchoring, Bahamas cruising, or extended weekends away from the dock.

The vessel is equipped with a Fusion marine audio system integrated with the NMEA 2000 network, providing a modern entertainment interface compatible with the vessel's installed network configuration.

Together with underwater lighting and the renewed exterior presentation, the audio installation contributes to a comfortable social environment whether underway, entertaining dockside, or anchored for the afternoon.

BLADE RUNNER is particularly relevant to buyers seeking the versatility of a large center console without giving up the ability to spend weekends aboard.

Her 2021 repower is an important consideration. In this segment, propulsion age, installation quality, and maintenance documentation can be as influential as the yacht's original build year.

The quad Mercury V8 installation, combined with modern Simrad navigation, FLIR thermal imaging, a generator, watermaker, and solar charging, gives BLADE RUNNER a feature set suited to an owner who intends to use the vessel actively rather than simply maintain it at the dock.

She deserves consideration alongside premium offshore cruising platforms from Intrepid, Boston Whaler, Pursuit, and other established builders in the 45- to 50-foot category.

At an asking price of $419,000, with offers invited, BLADE RUNNER provides an opportunity to acquire an extensively updated Intrepid Sport Yacht with significant propulsion investment already completed.

Her value ultimately rests on the quality of that work, the current condition of her systems, and the results of a thorough marine survey and sea trial.
